MK Party members will gather at Beyers Naude Square in support of former ANC leader Jacob Zuma.

The uMkhonto weSizwe Party members in Gauteng are to gather at Beyers Naude Square in Johannesburg today to show their support to former African National Congress President Jacob Zuma.

He has been charged under Rule 25 of the ANC constitution for endorsing the MK Party in the 29 May polls. MK Party Johannesburg Coordinator Anthony Zengele says, “We don’t have a right to go to Luthuli House but we are converging to give support to the president. We pledge even our supporters not to go to Luthuli House because it might create violence.”

“We are not a violent organisation but we anticipate peace every time. What I’m saying is that it’s a programme that is made in Gauteng that we are giving support to the president. What they are trying to do is bring the kangaroo court to our president,” he adds.
