A new report from the Greater Rochester Association of Realtors shows an upward trend in the median sales price, rising 10.1% between the second quarter of 2023 and that of 2024.

"Still crazy prices some of the houses are going for honestly, more than they're worth," remarked Mirsky. "They are still selling because the person that wants it the most is willing to pay. There's no science to it still. There's no rhyme or reason." "It seems like there's not a lot on the market and what the houses are listed for, that's probably not what they're going to go for," said Dana McGuire. "With this pricing war when you go online and see what’s for sale, I usually check what homes around the homes have sold for."
