We honoured an invitation to be amongst a collective intellectual women in South Africa. MEC Kenetswe Mosenogi participated as a guest speaker in the Women’s Month Dialogue under the theme “Invest, Empower and Enthrone Women”The annual Global Women’s Trade Summit wraps up its two-day gathering in Johannesburg today. The summit brings together women from across the globe to collaborate and explore new opportunities in international trade.
Each year the summit is hosted by a different country. Singapore International Women’s Federation of Commerce’s Annie Chan says the summit is important for the development of women. Chan says, “My very first observation is that the business ladies are very hungry for business and they are all very young which means they have a long way to go. Because they are young I believe they will be willing to take risks and to consider exploring all possibilities. Some are only twenties which means they have a long way to go, it gives them a lot of opportunities to continue to build up business.
