Mr Peadon was a resident of The Caves, a rural fire service volunteer, and an experienced dragline operator who had worked at the open-cut mine since 2006. In a statement to the ASX on Thursday, the company said the safety of its workers was its most important priority and it was committed to an injury-free workplace.
