Two young children have been injured after a driver collided with pedestrians near a Christmas market in south Gloucestershire.

The incident happened on Chipping Sodbury High Street near the Christmas market (Picture: Google_ The emergency services attended after reports of a low-speed crash with pedestrians on the Chipping Sodbury High Street at midday today. The driver – thought to be a man in his 80s – collided with a group of pedestrians when trying to manoeuvre out of a parking space in the market town around 13 miles northeast of Bristol.

The force said: ‘We’d like to reassure people that despite the large emergency response no one is currently described as having either life-threatening or life-changing injuries. ‘Two young children, including a baby, have gone to hospital.’ Anyone with information or footage of the incident is asked to contact the force.
