Kev Williams, based in Shrewsbury, set up his business a year ago to help parents buy affordable bikes in the run-up to Christmas.

The venture, Discounted Bikes - Shropshire, was so successful that he decided to keep the business as a permanent fixture, and his wife Michelle joined full-time.“Recent reports show that only 47% of UK children meet the recommended physical activity guidelines of 60 minutes daily and that one in five children in England are overweight or obese by the age of 5.

“After selling out last Christmas, it was obvious that local families valued our mission to get kids out in the fresh air riding bikes. We have been overwhelmed with the positive feedback, and we’re thrilled to be rated ‘excellent’ on Trustpilot. It’s not just bikes, we have lots of accessories and helmets which also make for a great gift this Christmas.”

Kev and Michelle source bikes, helmets and accessories from businesses that are no longer trading, or in big volumes, to sell through their website,They are also approved retailers for top brands including Claud Butler, Falcon, Frog, Yomo, Squish and many more. To further help parents and carers afford bikes this Christmas, Kev has introduced a Christmas Club and Clearpay payment options to spread out the payment with 0% interest.

Discounted Bikes offers free delivery locally and nationally. There is a 30 day return period on unused bikes and most manufacturers offer a lifetime warranty period, plus you can try before you buy and they will store your bike until collection day
