Actress and entrepreneur Rozita Che Wan, known as Che Ta, faced criticism online after denying claims that her business loan from Mara is linked to student scholarships.

KUALA LUMPUR: Actress and entrepreneur Rozita Che Wan, also known as Che Ta, firmly denied claims that her business loan from the Malaysian Cooperative Development Corporation (Mara) is linked to student scholarship funding. Aware of the allegations, Che Ta expressed confidence that her debt to the institution would not affect the students' well-being and even advised the public to trust in the predetermined fortune by the Creator. “Student scholarships are not related to business loans.

But if your child studies well, fortune never misses its destination. Insya-Allah,” she said in a comment section. Che Ta made this statement after an individual asked her to settle her debt to Mara by linking it to student scholarship funding. “Che Ta, quickly pay off your debt. Many students need the money,” the individual said. Unimpressed by the actress’s response, many netizens continued to criticize Che Ta, labeling her as arrogant. “Don’t give excuses, you’re good at talking about fortune never missing its destination, but do you know the law if you don’t pay your debt? Many Malay people need capital to start businesses, so pay your debt!” a netizen stated. “Masya-Allah, how arrogant the answer is,” another netizen commented. “You’re good at answering, but just pay it back,” another netizen wrote. Previously, the actress’s home was reportedly raided by Mara officers alongside lawyers and court representatives following allegations of failing to repay a loan worth almost RM1 million on December 10th. It is understood that Che Ta had taken out a loan with the agency since 2017 and reportedly repaid RM50,000 of the loan. It is also claimed that the entrepreneur recently paid a sum at the Mara office, but the amount is uncertain.
