It is alleged that one of the vehicles lost control and veered off its lane to collide with the vehicle on opposite direction.
The spokesperson for the Department of Community, Safety, Security and Liaison, Moeti Mmusi, says investigations are underway to determine the cause of the crash. “Earlier indications are one of the sedans seemingly lost control and veered off the road and collided with the other sedan that was travelling in the opposite direction. Five of the deceased were occupants of one of the sedan whilst the other two victims were in the other sedan.”
