The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, -0.12% retreated 76 points, or 0.3%, to 27,143. The Nasdaq Composite COMP, -0.26% was down 0.3% to 8,157. Another loss for the S&P 500 would see the equity benchmark record its longest losing streak since a four-session drop ending on June 26.
