DFS to quit liquor, tobacco business at ChangiAirport

In a surprising turn of events, DFS had declined to bid in Changi Airport Group's tender exercise for the new liquor and tobacco concession, amid tighter regulations and geopolitical uncertainty. The tender closed on Monday. "We are disappointed that DFS has opted not to participate in this tender, but we will work closely with them to ensure a smooth transition to the new operator," Mr Teo said.

"Although this decision is the right one for our business, it was not taken lightly," Mr Brennan said.
