Instead, the 25-year-old spends his life on the road, securing his place as one of the top players in the game of tennis. And he’s building his own business along the way.
“It was such a fun process,” Thiem says about a racket designed for control. “I love the old racket, but after three years it is time for a change, for me and for the fans. It is really fun to be part of designing the new racket and I knew how it looked from February or early March and I couldn’t wait to play with it at the French Open.”
“It is very nice that I can also decide a little bit about the design,” Thiem says. “ a dream come true for me.” Keeping that symbiotic nature in mind, Thiem says he wants to carefully select who he partners with. “I don’t want to take everything,” he says, “but there are some nice brands fitting to me.”
