A man died at Facebook's headquarters on Thursday in an apparent suicide, police said.

The man jumped from the fourth floor of a building, according to a news release from the city of Menlo Park. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said, shortly after the 11:30 a.m. call. Suicide prevention experts: What you say could save a person's life

“We were saddened to learn that one of our employees passed away at our Menlo Park headquarters earlier today," a spokesperson said in a statement emailed to USA TODAY. "We’re cooperating with police in their investigation and providing support to employees. While the family is being notified, we have not information to share.
