Jeff Bezos is visiting India as policy makers there tighten restrictions on U.S. companies that have begun to dominate its internet economy

NEW DELHI—Amazon.com Inc. Chief Executive Jeff Bezos pledged to invest a fresh $1 billion in the company’s Indian operations, part of a charm offensive in a promising but newly challenging market.

Speaking Wednesday at a gathering in New Delhi for local Amazon sellers, Mr. Bezos said the money is meant to help more small businesses start selling on the company’s marketplace. The new funds will be in addition to $5 billion Amazon has said it is spending to build out its Indian business, a spokeswoman said.

this will be a tough call. just like in the US, big business, finance and globalists have different interests than ordinary people. who will the GOI listen to?

India should apply 'Trump policy on business' more on Chinese firms minting money without any contribution to Indian economy or product development,instead of US businesses considering Chinese hostile policies on Kashmir, hurting Indian interests.
