I hate to say this but the BAFTAS like other awards are for excellence. What are all these complaints about diversity for? You want to get a BAFTA award, do an outstanding job and you will be recognized regardless of your race or background, PERIOD! This nonsense should STOP!

It’s a shame he didn’t know the nominations and lack of diversity before the ceremony, then he could have stayed away in protest, versus waiting until after he collects his trophy to protest.

Does it ever stop

You should have demonstrated your concern by giving your award to a more diverse leading actor. Show us by your actions not words

More of the same narrative pushing here. These fools are implying that white males are 'holding down' Everybody else (except for Asians). If we just start handing out participation awards will the left stop complaining? NO. they will always what 'equality' handed to them. losers

Wonder why he took the award? He should have given it to a black person.

Blah blah blah.

If they were good enough they’d be there. Do we need a quota system?

This is an example of systemic racism and how the film industry is still ignoring the lack of diversity and that people of color are not given the same opportunities as white actor and actresses even though they benefit from them in the film making process.

He’s in the most sick violent gross movie of the year. So shut up. The best we’re there. We don’t chose by race
