Trump's European travel restrictions could further strain airlines and drive some of them out of business, a trade group warned.

Carriers are struggling broadly as coronavirus and travel restrictions drive down bookings.

The trade group had already warned about a revenue loss of more than $100 billion for airlines globally this year. Airlines are reeling from the spread of coronavirus, which has infected more than 100,000 people and forced airlines around the world to slash service and freeze hiring or lay off workers in a bid to preserve cash.

"That scenario did not include such severe measures as the U.S. and other governments have since put in place," the group said in a statement.from most of Europe to the U.S. for 30 days as COVID-19 continues to spread. The new rules, which take effect Friday just before midnight, don't ban flights outright but rather prohibit foreigners who have been in Europe in the last two weeks from entering the country.

To be fair trump is an expert on putting thing ms out of business

Trump restricts travel even though the virus is already spreading here, so the only effect this will have is bankrupting multiple airlines and causing thousands of people to lose their livelihood and health insurance. Can we put an intelligent adult in charge now please?

I am not in support of the travel ban initiated by the president. It sends the wrong message and will decrease collaboration on key measures.

Maybe he can finally recreate his failed airline business, maybe that’s his play.

Why didn't he include Russia? Let me guess...

If you notice there is no CoronaVirus in hot climates. Venezuela, Honduras, Haiti , etc etc zero Virus

Good thing. Maybe after this, they will improve their services more, so they can recover quickly.

What is more important? Money or the life of others? askingforafriend 🤷🏼‍♀️

Oh calm down we bailed out Chevy they will bail out any large airline in need as well.

If they can't sustain a month or 2, they aren't very strong

Yea, we’re trying not to die. K thanks bye

Coronavirus could also drive some people out of life!
