President Cyril Ramaphosa says government will in the next coming days roll out a screening, testing, tracing and medical management programme.

“People with symptoms will be referred to local clinics or mobile clinics for testing. People who are infected with coronavirus, but who have no or moderate symptoms will remain in isolation at home or at a facility provided by government and those with severe symptoms will be transferred to hospitals,” says Ramaphosa.

South Africa has the highest number of cases on the African continent. The President has reiterated his call for South Africans to abide by the regulations of the lockdown and stay at home.Non-compliance to lockdown regulations Cele accompanied by his Deputy and National Police Commissioner visited different pension pay-points in the KwaMashu and Inanda townships, north of Durban.

National Police Spokesperson Vish Naidoo says although they still need to verify the authenticity of these videos, the alleged behaviour is unacceptable and cannot be tolerated or condoned.

I'm so concerned about this plan by the government , how are we going to differentiate between thugs and really people from the department of health when they start knocking in our doors is there any specific way to identify them ?🤔

There's a risk of opportunists that will take advantage of ppl

MandlaMkhize thank you finally yall doing something

We await to be called for spraying our mall to disinfect the virus

MSC could be the reason 😢😢😢

I’m more worried about how we’ll be able to differentiate between medical fieldworkers and criminals.

I voluntarily support the screening infected hoing higher

Julius Malema was right, this president is compromised,he's not decisive,he always reacts, that should have happened long time ago, waited for thousands to be infected before he acts.Lot of black people will die because of this.

Criminals will use this as a window to pose as the field workers and rob citizens. I hope government has measures in place for that risk.

This is a time where our faith is tested to the Max. John 14 'Let not your heart be trouble Believe in Me and also believe in God'.

I don't see that helping, the lockdown is not helping while people are still gathering in numbers at the malls and everywhere across the country. We need a total lock down. No shop that will open until further notice. Otherwise the number will always rise

After the raping of a granny by people posing as SANDF , I will not open for anyone. Testing at clinics and hospitals should be free..I'll go there instead. Or they tell make hotspots for us to go to, to be tested. Women, if you live alone..I say don't open

In my place i didn't even see 1police or solider/water tank so i know this will never happened also maybe there in the cities not in the villages

How will they identify themselves? 🤷🏻‍♂️

PresidencyZA Induct the people you arrested during lockdown to serve as field workers & help out with the screenings. *Community Service*
