The US Postal Service now has 5,000 employees in quarantine and only enough cash to last through September

A union representing USPS employees said about 5,000 are in quarantine due to COVID-19, and 60 have died.The United States Postal Service, currently being hit hard as letter-mail volume plummets during the COVID-19 pandemic, is in need of rapid emergency funding.

Public services must be bailed out. Any private company taking bailout out $ must repatriate their trillions in offshore $ before they see a dime. They also have to fund their retirement 75 years in the future like USPS. Democracy means same & equal. But the private types cheat

People who whine about the USPS do not live in rural areas. The PO is one of our contacts with the outer world. Their service is better than UPS or FedEx, because there is a nearby physical location to pick up parcels. Had to drive 25 mi to pick up UPS parcel.

USPS has turned unreliable. They lost by auto insurance bill payment. Then again lost my property tax payment. Both were late and I had penalties.

Just end it

They need to have layoffs just like the private sector and reduce the footprint of postal offices cut pay and only deliver mail three days a week
