A massive study of coronavirus patients shows the malaria drug touted by Trump raised the risk of death

A massive study of 96,032 hospitalized coronavirus patients found that the antimalarial medications hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine didn't benefit the patients that took them.

Hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine got attention early on in the pandemic as a potential treatment for COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus. The drugs are approved for other uses, but not for the treatment of COVID-19. We just got even more evidence that the antimalarial medications touted by President Donald Trump aren't a good bet for treating the coronavirus.

Interesting since a “massive” study in India proved the opposite. 🤔

at what stage of the infection were the patients administered the treatment? Was this a last ditch effort? if they were already incubated for weeks, would any drug work?

Chloroquine, hydroxychloroquine are old drugs , so their human body actions are known to a large extent, and predictability in this new disease should be better. Though political readings by all sides is making a fair debate almost impossible this days.

Delete your account. There can't be a massive study 3 months in. Most have recommended this as a preventive drug NOT treatment. Your hate for one man and the desire to constantly shit on him speaks more about you than him.
