Kevin O’Leary says the shift to remote work has boosted productivity, and is making business more efficient. “I’m really excited about the new America we’re going to have. We’re going to save a ton of money.”

told CNBC on Friday the coronavirus crisis has shown that remote working is good for employees and a business's bottom line.

O'Leary, chairman of O'Shares ETFs, said across his business portfolio he anticipates granting about 20% of employees the right to work from home "perpetually." He singled out areas such as compliance, accounting and logistics. He said the company will help employees upgrade their home internet and technology to help in the transition.

They need to be paying employees more and paying for internet costs because they are saving on overhead.

This is ridiculous. You are NOT more productive at home.

Idiot.

This guy is from Canada and owns total wealth of 400 millions he does not know what the 90% people struggles who are making below $80000 ok CNN

Most of your channel talk to the people are millionaires nothing more

Who is reading and understanding this news ultimately medium income people will be crushing economically in coming years and this will not going to affect anybody who are millionaires how many % of millionaires in USA ?

Business will save a cortunr for sure. Will expenses be passed along to employees though? Will businesses also look to change compensation, further saving themselves?

None of that money is going to the workers who created it Kevin. Do you think they might get mad and do something?

Many said that would happen after 9/11 too. They were mistaken then as well.

This will work for many if not most knowledge workers (not withstanding childcare and other issues). I did it for two years full time and as an introvert you would think I would have preferred it. I’m guessing there will be an increase in options.

What about the WEB CRAWLERS National Security + Mental Heath to get up and go out & Did you talk to Customers if they are financial institutions or insurance institutions corporations Web services etc

You are believing everyone has internet and lives as you do 🧐

Totally agree. There are many benefits from a remote office. • Less leased office space • Less pollution • No stressful commutes • Closer to childrens school Families can start having dinner with one another again instead of coming home at 6:30-7pm.

So glad you’re “excited” Kevin. You fu*ing ghoul.

Buy $zm?

WTH? That's what you call this - a 'great economy?' Not investing in your people's education or skills, no good jobs, calling for violence, dividing races & classes, taking $2.3T from the young ppl & giving it to the 1%. These youngsters are fed up with the takers & the dividers.

So accurate

ResignNowTrump

Yup. And keep it all for themselves.

He's gonna offer me $1000 for a 50% stake in my home office.

Poor Kevin - lights off, like his boat.

WFH is huge win-win business cuts down on office space/overhead costs and the employee gains 1/2 hours of commute time + money saved in clothes/gas/parking/train/food costs which will hurt those municipal and local businesses and excess money 💴 be spent online or grocery stores

“MR WONDERFUL”: BUY $GLD

I am really scared for the new US, not excited!!

Yep he’s excited about this America.

Ask Kevin for boating advice

Kernan is human trash

Save on driving in traffic, and distance. And get to sleep a little more because of that. Why wouldn’t it be a positive!

Workers will lose, a lot. It’s past time business leaders put an emphasis on actual production and distribution of goods, in a fair manner. And spend far less time counting stuff. At home work makes little and moves little.

If your job can be done remotely from home, your job can be outsourced to India.

REITs won’t do well...

Never let a crisis go to waste, right Kevin?

Yesterday they chanted the virtues of serendipity, collaboration and soft skills. They said 'people skills', team work...were awesome. Today they say everyone should just work at home. Forever.

What about, workers rights? Will they be on the clock all the time?

Is that savings going to be turned into a dividend? It must or he wouldn't be so excited...

Boomers set to protect those portfolios at all costs.

bullish

Save money = GDP taking a huge hit

Spend more time on his boat

He obviously doesn’t have kids living with him

utter permabullshit
