7-Eleven is cancelling 7-Eleven Day for the first time in nearly 20 years due to COVID, but there is another way to get free Slurpees

7-Eleven announced on Tuesday that it's canceling 7-Eleven Day, when the chain usually gives out free Slurpees on July 11.

Instead, the chain will donate one million meals to hunger relief organization Feeding America on that day. 7-Eleven made the decision to cancel the in-store promotion in anticipation of massive crowding, but will still give out free Slurpees in the form of a coupon valid from July 1 through July 31.July 11 is usually the most wonderful time of the year, a day when any sugar-loving American can pop into their local 7-Eleven and walk out with a kid-sized Slurpee, free of charge.on Tuesday. Instead, the chain will give one million meals to hunger-relief organization Feeding America.

July 11 has been the busiest day of the year for 7-Eleven stores for almost twenty years, according to Jarratt. "But this year, we have to make changes for the greater good." The good news is that 7-Eleven is still giving out free Slurpees. But instead of squeezing the Slurpee giveaway into one day, the chain will automatically give every rewards member a coupon for a free medium Slurpee, redeemable from July 1 through the end of the month.SEE ALSO:
