Alexandra Burke, the X Factor winner who went on to achieve three UK No 1 singles and further fame on Strictly Come Dancing, has spoken about the racism she experienced in the entertainment industry.
All those puppets of manufactured pop are manipulated. It's shallow as ditch piss muzac for cretins , they always have and always will be manipulated and maltreated. Just look at the suicide rate in KPop FFS. I guess it has to be a race thing this month though.
We have to create our own game and practice Black self reliance amongst each other. You can't be you in White folks world.
Shameful!
Where is your credibility when you use indecent images of black children as clickbait? (Blurred out of common decency)
How absurd! I am evaluated as white, but I recommend that she remain intact. Do not bow to these racist idiots in the white world. It is from the perseverance of black people not to submit to racist attitudes that a change of conscience may arise among whites. Black lives matter!
Why tell us now Bandwagon and jump spring to mind. Dont beleive a word of it!
RUBBISH
There’s a music industry, now? I mean, still?
As if!!
And they told me I couldn’t do porn unless I bleached my a**hole...
Did the music industry say this or was it just a very small group of racist fuckwits?
Really ?
The industry didn’t. A person did. Name them.
Bs and tons of it. It's not like talented black musicians suffer discrimination.
Hope they tell her to love one another next
Who told her ?
Don't do this else your 👃 may fall off!
Right Alexandra, name the names, don’t use the “music industry” blanket, that’s unfair to 1000s, name the bastards or just shut up cos u add nothing unless u do. Until these people get fully named and shamed it stays under cover, where you kept it for years indeed.
Unacceptable. There is an awful lot of this going on that is never told. It is easy to criticise her for being a diva but by telling her story it hopefully has highlighted the problems people with colour have. Yes it can work both ways but unless people speak up it continues
Who?
She needs to name the racist that advised this.
You should see what white people used to do to sell records
OMG! Blackisbeautiful
Name and shame with proof..There a lot of Afroamerican singers with great voice and nobody told them to bleach their skin
I IMPLORE EVERY Black person to SPEAK UP and EXPOSE the acts of RACISM, PREJUDICES and BIASES when they occur. You should no longer keep silent. Immediate exposure and shaming should be the normal. STOP losing your dignity and sense of self for meager crumbs from RACIST whites.
What a load of bollocks. Blacks are well represented in the music industry.
WhiteFragility
Yet she said nothing and took the money, yawn, I’ve no career left so I’ll hop on that wagon. Sad
talentless - no beyonce
Then the music industry are total imbeciles - black music has topped the charts ever since they began in the 1950's.
If your good it should not make a difference. We have seen some amazing black artists in there own natural look . Also i see a lot of white people wearing braids. Not really sure where this is going. What i would like to know is who said this?
Let's hope the rest of the Spice Girls stood up for their colleague in South Africa
You are beautiful in your true self. Don’t listen to racist sexist pigs out there!
FAKE NEWS
That’s the system of racism mental illness 😳😳
Don’t care.
An industry cannot tell you to do anything. Name and shame
What happened to her is unacceptable, nothing will change until names start getting named. If there is ever going to be a shift in such attitudes, they have to be exposed. Name those who said these things, give them nowhere to hide. It will serve as a clear deterrent to others.
I was told to use fake tan! Said I was too white!!!
Maybe they told a young Michael Jackson the same?
