San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora on July 1 ordered Agora Market to be placed under lockdown after a male vendor there tested positive for coronavirus disease .According to Zamora, the vendor is now confined and being treated in a hospital, while his close contacts have been isolated. The market will be closed while waiting for the results of the swab tests done on some 644 market employees, workers, and vendors.

The mayor gave his assurance that the city government will work for the speedy release of the swab test results so that the market can immediately reopen, adding that Agora Market is closed every Wednesday and Sunday for cleaning and sanitation.
