Sony has made a $250 million investment to acquire a minority stake in EpicGames, the developer of Fortnite.

Sony Innovation Studios in Los Angeles has been developing virtual production capabilities, which were prominently featured last January in the company's CES exhibition area. Unreal has enabled numerous virtual productions, such as Jon Favreau's.

EpicGames Bad investment on their part tbh. Fortnite's (despite still being huge) has been on a decline in active users for a while. People are bored of the game after being stuck in lockdown, plus the PS5's coming out and people aren't going to want to play low-res plastic looking games.
