Pfizer Inc has said the company intends to make a profit from its potential coronavirus vaccine if approved. They better sell that shit at cost. 'It's an unprecedented effort: the US government is investing more than $3 billion to come up with a vaccine against the coronavirus.' Three billion in tax money to fund the research..

I honestly don't care, as long as they aren't gouging, and everyone has access. If they didn't make money on medication, they wouldn't be making any.

And if it works, all the sports players will get it first, and the politicians and the big movie stars. Then the corporate CEO and people on the board. Then when it reaches down to the normal public there will be some kind of government program after more people die.

In other words, we are going to get financially gouged if you want to live.

Oh course not.

Vaccines ... like lobster... should always be Market Price. Good health to the highest bidder!

Just small profit of 10000% is okay.Don't be greedy. Gilead trying to be a bit with 'old boy'remdesivir with $4,680 for a 10-day course of treatment with recovery cost 10$.Lucky we have better and cheaper alternatives.

As Dr. Salk did with the polio vaccine, pharma companies should donate the vaccine to humanity.

Understandable.. I’ll reserve a morality judgment until final prices are released. A publicly traded company profiting from their R&D on something needed world wide is the norm. I mean if I owned a company that’s saving lives and able to profit the company also what’s wrong

It better WORK then.

Of course not. 'Profit' is the sole purpose of the American 'healthcare' system.

Well, financial incentives being the main driver behind all vaccines, it does not surprise.

This vaccine is going to be like the car insurance or the tv license (unwanted products) by the people, but made compulsory by the government’s laws. The price won’t really matter.

I would never expect anything different than that.

They should be no where near the table of companies authorized to produce and supply any state or govt.

I mean is anyone surprised? God forbid they want to help people. Look what big pharma did with insulin - $25/vial in 1995 and $300/vial today... nothing has changed about that insulin but the price. Morally, ethically, it’s unacceptable but in capitalist America, it’s A-OK.

Go AstraZeneca and J&J

Of course not. They care about making a profit, not saving lives.
