Clint Eastwood filed lawsuits on Thursday over the fraudulent use of his name to sell CBD products and claims that he has retired from the movie business to enter the wellness industry.

CBD, or cannabidoil, is a non-psychoactive compound in cannabis, and is also derived from the hemp plant. It was legalized in the United States in 2018. The first lawsuit cites an online news article carrying a purported interview in which Eastwood falsely reveals that he is developing a new CBD line and is “stepping away from the spotlight to put more time into his wellness business.”

A second lawsuit claims that programming code has been used to illegally insert Eastwood’s name into some online searches for CBD products.

In all honesty,he done with being a movie mule!

I thought he is suing because some CBD companies are using his image without permission. Who sues over expressing an opinion. What is going on at Reuters?

They're using his name and likeness to sell their products so it makes sense that he's suing.

lol what

It’s too much to ask for it to be true?

CBD and CBD could be easily confused, I’m sure he has got a Santa B business in the CBD

What a stupid thing to sue about. Oh wait, will he sue me?

Which part is wrong?
