Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has vowed to reopen businesses as soon as possible, but organisations representing employers say the roadmap to lifting coronavirus restrictions does not go far enough, quick enough.

, labelling the roadmap a"document of despair".

"What the data tells us, what the scientists tell us, and, frankly, it’s common sense, is if we do this too fast, if we run to open up, we won't be open for long," he said. Here's everything you need to know about the roadmap out of lockdown for Melbourne and regional Victoria "Rather than providing the hope and optimism required, along with clear and measurable steps for businesses to open up, today’s announcement will only prolong the economic and social pain that all Victorians are feeling.""All reasonable health advice recognises that the virus will be with us for years and points to the need for us to do better to keep our economy open and take practical steps to keep workplaces safe," he said.

Those workers include some in the constriction, warehousing, postal services, childcare, manufacturing, and outdoor gardening sectors.

There is a huge disconnect between the report and what Dan said. The road map is clearly an elimination strategy - and there are still fairly big restrictions even after 14 days of 0 cases. This road map is tough to the point of being unachievable.

So many ignorant comments. Mr DanielAndrewsMP has done an amazing job making tough decisions working tirelessly in unprecedented challenging circumstances. He tried to dumb it down for people to understand but evidently it needs to be dumbed down further for some 🤨

Hmm when comes to a pandemic are you going to listen to business groups or health experts. That's a tough one.

The document is written by PhDs - that's why it's not inclusive. PhDs don't regard your view as important unless you are educated or rich. This is why their documents are never taken seriously. PhDs need to break bread with the masses - stand for their view not their own.

Everyone has to see everyone else's view ... business has to realise it's not all about money. Safety first.

It goes like this. Somebody says something. Then the media goes find somebody who disagrees. Then the first person has to waste time justifying what they said Then the media reports their need for justification as weakness. Then more press jump in. And it's downhill from there.

What roadmap?

Tell them to tell it to the coronovirus!

It's as if these business owners think Dan has a dialogue with the virus or something. 'Please stop being savage so we can start trading again'

Andrews , and his wife it seems , are only good at steering vehicles into humans with a roadmap. DictatorDan istandwithdan melbournelockdown2020 ALP Democracy
