But if he could buy any EV, whether currently available or yet to be released, he would opt for's R1T pickup truck. Sullins has pre-ordered the vehicle, which Rivian plans to release next year.
"It's really just everything that I would need in a car," he said in an interview with Business Insider. Sullins' number-one priority for an EV is range, and Rivian says the R1T may be able to drive over 400 miles between charges. Sullins also cited the R1T's fast-charging capability and functionality. He uses his Toyota Tacoma pickup at least twice a month to haul the furniture his wife designs or materials for home-improvement projects, so the R1T's truck bed would have more than aesthetic value.
"It's an amazing, amazing vehicle," Sullins said of the Cybertruck. "It's, to me, a bummer that it looks the way it does."
