Peter Ward, CEO of healthtech app Humanity, previously launched WAYN.com , which was sold to lastminute.com in 2016.In August, healthtech app Humanity Inc. raised a $2.5 million seed round led by US VC fund One Way Ventures.
The startup claims to be able to track users' rate of aging using an algorithm built on scientific research of aging indicators called biomarkers and data from wearables, such as Apple Health. It then suggests changes that it says will increase life expectancy. The current alpha version gives you a daily score based on various factors, such as activity and quality of sleep, and nudges users into behaviour that will increase their score. Ward says the company soon hopes to build in other variables, such as nutrition, as well as offer more specific lifestyle changes to help users reduce aging.
