President Trump falsely claimed on Tuesday that he "up-played" the COVID-19 pandemic despite making remarks in public and on audio tape showing otherwise.
In fact, Trump told the veteran reporter Bob Woodward that he knew the coronavirus was easily transmissible and deadlier than the flu, and that he intentionally "wanted to play it down" so it wouldn't "create a panic." "I didn't downplay it," Trump said in response to a question about his handling of COVID-19 during an ABC News town hall. "I actually in many ways up-played it in action."The president repeatedly and consistently misled the public about the severity of the outbreak even as it killed thousands across the country and decimated the economy. He also admitted to the veteran journalist Bob Woodward that the disease was easily transmissible and more dangerous than the flu.
This is fake news. He up-played by bringing the issue to the forefront by banning international travel (which was opposed) Downplayed was his explanation on how he tried to keep a strong composure as to not instill fear in the citizens. Y’all fuckers are always with the gotcha bs
More manure for his garden of bullshit.
BREAKING: President Trump diagnosed with chronic 'Diarrhea of the mouth'. Doctors say it's due to being full of shit!
Ohhh boy
The only things Trump up-played are his intelligence, his competence, his integrity, and his mental stability.
I think he's a compulsive liar. He **has** to look good at all costs, therefore he's always going to lie to look good if given the opportunity.
