IBM's new service tells you exactly how much money your company's cybersecurity risks could cost – including in M&A deals with undisclosed data breaches

This week IBM is announcing new services to provide companies with systematic calculations of their cybersecurity costs

New research from IBM shows the services are rolling out as big M&A deals may be in the works, post COVID-19You don't have to look far for examples of cybersecurity's central role in business these days – whether it's in the high-profile TikTok acquisition talks, the ransomware payments organizations are increasingly threatened with, or the risks facing employee data while working remotely during the pandemic.

The company says the new services help companies systematically evaluate security risks – such as data breaches from an acquired company – the same way companies evaluate other budget items.
