The airline industry is never going to get back to the way it was before coronavirus, the former chief executive of Aer Lingus and British Airways-owner IAG has warned

The airline industry is never going to get back to the way it was before coronavirus, the former chief executive of Aer Lingus and British Airways-owner IAG warned today."It's never going to get back to the way it was," Willie Walsh, who retired as IAG CEO earlier this month, said in an online interview with Eurocontrol.

Most of the consolidation would initially come through failures, he said, as he also predicted that Covid-19 would make airlines more resilient. Looking at the next few months though, he said it would be "very, very tough". Flight data shows that a hoped-for recovery in air travel in Europe has gone into reverse.

It is what it is,

In Europe at least when airlines come out of pandemic they will be hit with strict new emissions targets....Opportunity for the Green parties of Europe to stop the rapidly rising aviation greenhouse emissions...

The guy looks like he came out of a concentration camp. He needs a holiday... Oh yeah.. Sorry I forgot... Can't... lol.

same for the rest of life as we knew it

Why won't it? As soon as people can safely go on holidays or travel for business, will.

Only reason it won’t is because it’s not being allowed
