An historic century-old pub is facing an uncertain future after a big business blew into town and then packed up without paying a $125,000 tab.

Pub owner turned publican Matt is now fighting to save his pub which he said is the cornerstone of the community. In December last year, Rusca Bros. Services Pty Ltd collapsed, with administrators finding it "was likely to have become insolvent on around 31 July 2019, if not earlier". Insolvency lawyer Demian Walton from Rigby Cooke said it appeared Rusca had "carved up" its business into "different units".

A spokesperson for Total Eren said: "Since Rusca Brothers entered into Voluntary Administration in December 2019, Total Eren has constantly encouraged the Principal Contractor to enter into discussions with local subcontractors and suppliers impacted by the unfortunate events surrounding Rusca Brothers, in order to identify and implement swift and appropriate solutions for all stakeholders involved.

In late-2018, we understand that Biosar Australia engaged Rusca Brothers as a subcontractor to undertake civil and mechanical works across its projects in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria, including at the Kiamal Solar Farm.

Yes loopholes that ordinary people wouldn't know about, yet big business escape their debts.... Just like the police deny liability for mistaken identity situation by Constable Ljuboja...

Pretty poor business behaviour to let a tab get that large.
