Renting a power bank to charge your phone is huge in China and now it's coming to Europe

Naki Power, a Belgian startup cofounded by the founders of e-scooter company Circ , wants to recreate this market in Europe.

Naki offers portable phone chargers which can be picked up from stations for charging on-the-go and then returned when completed. The global power bank market size was valued at $17.41 billion in 2019, and is projected to reach $22.34 billion by 2027, according toCOVID-19 has accelerated the move towards greater adoption, according to Naki Power cofounder Zaccaria Aghemio.

"We are on our phones all the time and it's so important to have power," Rucquoi-Berger added. "Europe is so far behind China but the density of bars and restaurants per capita is higher so it's a massive opportunity."
