Following similar efforts made by other countries, the company says it is currently working to conduct public tests on dogs' ability to identify COVID-19 carriers.

-- Over the past months, researchers across the globe have been looking into another way to detect the coronavirus: dogs.

According to Gerry Tabares, also from the same company, they are currently training at least 12 dogs to sniff out the coronavirus. Gerry said while such a task isn't limited to certain kinds of dogs, their students are of the Belgian Malinois, Labrador, and German Shepherd breeds. Gerry said they patterned their training to those of other countries which have already conducted thorough studies on the matter.
