A new lawsuit accuses top Florida real estate developer Irwin Elliot Tauber of driving a 41-foot fishing boat over a swimmer and then speeding off

"It seems to be a rash of billionaires who buy million-dollar boats with four outboard engines in this case totaling 1800 horsepower and taking them out and being extremely careless," the swimmer's lawyer told Business Insider. A familiar fixture in Biscayne Bay, Tauber was driving his 1,800 horsepower black 2020 Valhalla Boatworks vessel named "Alora" in the area on April 28, 2020, when the propellers "violently cut" swimmer Theresa Murray's left leg and foot, the suit filed October 26 in Miami-Dade County states.
