MGM reportedly asked Netflix and Apple for $600 million to bring James Bond film 'No Time To Die' straight to streaming

MGM declined to comment on any talks to the publications, but told Bloomberg the film "is not for sale."

"The film's release has been postponed until April 2021 in order to preserve the theatrical experience for moviegoers," an MGM spokesperson told the publication. The film was originally scheduled to release in April 2020, but has been pushed back twice during the pandemic as cinemas continue to limit the number of visitors due to social distancing restrictions.

"No Time To Die" marks the 25th installment in the James Bond franchise, and Daniel Craig's final performance as the spy. jackiearinda I'm done waiting 😎😥

Bond 25 playing on netlfix or cinema ? 🤔🤔

😂

If idriselba playing in it I'm down if not, I'll keep scrolling for something to watch

Blockbuster films need streaming. Cinemas are cool but very outdated.

Look at those lovely blue eyes 💙

600 million bucks to do something that its viewers are already demanding? Cinemas still have leverage? C'mon.

Netflix:

Queria, porém depende...

good luck

❤️

Can this Craig be faster to leave Bond franchise

Is MGM cash strapped? I’m assuming especially considering they stopped paying a dividend altogether.

yes netflix buy it... And expand the concept - need to have series such as 001, 002, 003, 004, 005 - etc.. So much creative growth 007

They need to transition to this. It will be a very long time before I go back to the theatre.

Might be time to buy Netflix if this is how blockbusters will be released for the near future...
