Selangor and Kuala Lumpur Wine and Spirit Chinese Dealers Association secretary Albert Chooi Leong Peow said this move will not just hurt businesses, but the government’s tax income as well,“If they don’t release the licences, how do we make a living? And that also means the government will not get taxes,” Chooi was quoted saying.

Federation of Sundry Goods Merchants Association president Hong Chee Meng voiced a similar opinion, saying every business is now struggling to stay afloat during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Bunch of joker running the country...

As always...DAP will slams anybody who go against alcohol consumption. Wonder what kind of political party is this.

this is discriminatory and racist move against all races that can consume alcohol.

When have a Kelantanese MP as KL Minister , will it be like turning KL the Msia Capital City into a less entertaining place for non Islamist & Islamist ,like turning KL into Kelantan is it?

Exactly what I’ve been telling people on this dumb app.

Thailand has a policy of selling any form of alcohol beverage after 5pm. This way it wont kill any parties

I think the picture is misleading. For next year, DBKL restricted the places where hard liquors are sell. For Beers, as of now, is still business as usual

Tak ada masaalah. Govt.can still survive without your tax

Then do not sell liquor. Sell something else that does not bring any harm to consumer and anybody else. Tax? Country wont fall into starvation without liquor!
