40 production companies get RM14 million from Finas

Communications and Multimedia Minister Saifuddin Abdullah hopes that under the 12th Malaysia Plan, the government will allocate RM550 million for funds to boost the creative industry. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, November 24, 2020.

SOME 40 production companies have received approval for funds totalling RM13.927 million from the National Film Development Corporation’s Digital Content Fund, under the Creative Industry Immediate Economic Action Plan. Communications and Multimedia Minister Saifuddin Abdullah said fund aims to help strengthen the creative industry affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
