Sacked workers of the Integrated Logistic Services in Nigeria, known as Intels, in Onne, Rivers State have staged protests over the sacking of over 700 staff members of the company without benefits.

They said the action contravened known labour laws.

Speaking during the protest on Friday, president of the association in Intels, Sunday Atakpo, called on the management of the firm to pay the sacked workers their ‘redundancy’ money, saying most of them had served the company for 25 years or more and do not deserve to be treated badly.
