has concluded its run on Broadway due to the COVID-19 pandemic and continued industry-wide shutdown of entertainment venues.

The stage production, which features a book by Tina Fey and is based on her screenplay for the 2004 original comedy film version, will not reopen. Produced byveteran Lorne Michaels, the production grossed $124.2M on Broadway during its run, with 980,469 total admissions and over 804 performances at the August Wilson Theatre.

Three-time Emmy winner and Tony nominee Jeff Richmond provided the music, while lyrics came from two-time Tony nominee Nell Benjamin. Helming the production as director and choreographer was Tony winner Casey Nicholaw, who has now signed on to direct the feature adaptation of Monty Python's
