B.C.\u0027s Minister of Jobs Ravi Kahlon says B.C. may have bucked the national trend but the province \u0022is not out of the woods as daily COVID\u002D19 cases remain high.\u0022

StatsCan senior analyst Vincent Ferrao said B.C.’s gains were mainly in full-time positions and in the field of construction, though he noted the number is not statistically significant.“In December, employment came to a virtual standstill in B.C.,” said Ferrao.

B.C. Minister of Jobs Ravi Kahlon says B.C. may have bucked the national trend but the province “is not out of the woods as daily COVID-19 cases remain high.”Article content continued “There is reason for hope in the long term as independent economists predict B.C. will lead all provinces with the highest gross domestic product growth in 2021 and the lowest unemployment – but only if we are successful in bending the curve and reducing transmission.”
