Biden says it's an 'easy choice' to push Republicans aside if it means getting his $1.9 trillion stimulus package approved faster

Two crossed lines that form an 'X'. It indicates a way to close an interaction, or dismiss a notification.Biden strongly indicated that he is prepared to pass his $1.9 trillion stimulus package with only Democratic votes.

While delivering remarks at the White House, Biden said he wanted to"act fast" and emphasized his large plan was designed to address the immense challenges facing the nation. Biden continued:"I've told both Republicans and Democrats that's my preference: to work together. But if I have to choose between getting help right now to Americans who are hurting so badly and getting bogged down in a lengthy negotiation or compromising on a bill that's up to the crisis, that's an easy choice.

The plan includes $1,400 stimulus checks, $400 federal unemployment benefits through September, and assistance to state and local governments among other provisions. It has generated strong opposition from Republicans who argue it is a colossal level of untargeted spending on progressive priorities.

“Unity”

This world has been waiting on a change, what is wrong with coming together to an understanding that there are still regular American people that want what's best for everyone, Trump never had any intention to help America, his AGENDA WAS WHITESUPREMCIST.

Dictators say that kind of stuff.

Sounds like Trump.

I like this is of Joe. It has felt as if Republicans have pushed their weight sense of the Obama administration and the complexly rolled over when Trump won.

I'm with you, SarahLongwell25 -- I think he squandered an opportunity to show how it's possible to work across the aisle to get stuff done. I get the urgency, and understand that when you keep kicking the can down the road this is more likely, but still. Bummer.

Creepy Joe is an interloper and EVERYONE KNOWS IT

Politicsinsider What about the 1 trillion that still hasn't been appropriated from the first aid package, Mr. Biden?

The ‘easy choice’ is not always the best choice.
