Tastings, cooking demonstrations and beautiful displays are the future of retail according to Woolworths, as it trains staff to meet demand.

Australia’s biggest supermarket announced it will chuck more than $50 million towards reskilling staff over the next three years. It expects 60,000 workers across its stores, e-commerce operations, supply chain network and support offices to benefit from the training.

The millions will also help fund redeployment or training for a new career for staff affected by the planned closures of the NSW stores in Minchinbury and Yennora, along with the Mulgrave site in Victoria by 2025.Woolworths have employed people whose jobs were impacted by the coronavirus pandemic and now they are looking to reskill some of their workforce.
