The industry had been demanding further support with the ending of JobKeeper and has since received around $258 million in support grants, including a half-price flights initiative.The Federal Government has thrown Australia’s embattled travel industry a lifeline, with an extra $130 million boost.

The industry may need further support for some time, as uncertainty around the return of international tourists and Australia’s vaccine rollout continues to pose issues.
