Australians will be given more help to buy their first homes in a federal budget boost that offers loan guarantees and more scope for people to use superannuation to save a deposit. | CroweDM

on the grounds that super should be used only to look after Australians in retirement.

People have to make a voluntary contribution to their funds, up to a cap of $15,000 a year, and can withdraw a maximum of $50,000 under the rules to be updated on Tuesday. The rules will not be changed to allow them to withdraw employer contributions made through the super guarantee levy, despite calls from Liberals for changes to super rules to use the nest eggs for housing or halt the legislated rise in the levy from 9.5 per cent to 12 per cent over the coming years.

The 10,000 new places for the home guarantee will only be available for individuals with taxable incomes of less than $125,000 and couples with taxable incomes of less than $200,000, and they cannot have owned a property before seeking the new help.

CroweDM O , ye with short memories.

CroweDM Who's the big losses? No accountability secrutinity to go government and authorities agencies some not even reply to email some fakely call regulators at sleeping mode ripping off taxpayer's in Millions on Royal Commission which at the end nobody care about it's finds?

CroweDM ‘Help’ really? That just drives real estate prices UP, pushing it out of reach for most people. Get rid of negative gearing, see how many people can THEN buy their first house!

CroweDM Bullshit! 2500 per year for four years!

CroweDM This headline is a disgrace. Stop spreading lies that this govt is helping anyone.

CroweDM Leave Super Alone!! This is suicidal policy for workers future. Real estate prices will skyrocket!

CroweDM FOR 10,000 PEOPLE ONLY! 🤦‍♂️ In a negative geared, investment hyped, SKY HIGH priced property acquisition market!! auspol Homebuyers LNPCrimeFamily LNPCorruptionParty

CroweDM What should be really called, look crumbs, have some crumbs, while we feast and eventually watch you starve.

CroweDM You lie.

CroweDM Do people even understand the concept of superannuation? There is a psy-ops campaign being run to convince younger generations it is a bad thing. It’s not.

CroweDM Banks, mortgage brokers, property developers, realtors and -ve gearers, fist pumping with glee. This is an attack on super. JoshFrydenberg will be long gone when superannuants will realise what they’ve done. Turbo charging the housing price bubble!🤬 Pathetic policy!

CroweDM Can we reduce non Australian nationals buying here first? That would be nice

CroweDM Todays mortgage is yesteryears slavery.

CroweDM I think it’s exactly the wrong policy. Propping up banks in boom times is not a good idea. Encouraging people to buy in a bubble is dangerous. It will not go forever.

CroweDM So the government is using my hard earned money to help other people buy a home. What happened to work hard spend wisely and SAVE. A privileged generation. It’s a sad society.

CroweDM What a load of drivel

CroweDM Oh thank you neo-liberal government, I am so reassured by this announcement. It helps me forget that you couldn’t care less about actually helping humanity, you would rather put us into debt to help your banking mates.

CroweDM Disastrous

CroweDM David waiting like a puppy dog for scraps to be thrown to him at the end of the table....

CroweDM yes what australia really needs is for housing prices to keep rising, this a fantastic idea from a very competent government.

CroweDM The Barefoot investor says dont touch these huge loans on one wage!

CroweDM This will put single parents in a dire position within a coupla years!

CroweDM you have to use your super, well i don't have any super, don't get suck in with this peeps...

CroweDM This framing from CroweDM is atrocious.

CroweDM More LNP sponsored drivel....

CroweDM This is a silly idea....Negative gearing needs a fix.

CroweDM Giving people more money will just make land and home packages more expensive. It also does not solve the problem of access to jobs, etc, that plague new developments.

CroweDM These same people who empty their super accounts will complain when they end up with no retirement income. There won’t be a pension if the LNP have their way because the LNP consider all government payments as welfare. They HATE welfare.

CroweDM And watch house prices skyrocketing even further

CroweDM Gee that sounds like a top idea? 🤪 I mean we all know this stuff fuels the price explosion.

CroweDM Leave our super alone it shouldn’t be used to prop an overpriced market up!

CroweDM Kicking the can down the road, creating a pension nightmare for future generations. Maybe LNP has an idea that there may not be future generations.

CroweDM How many promises and announcements has this government made in the last few years that have come to fruition?

CroweDM Morrison has broken a federal budget political promise since last year’s federal budget government lies. It was a sweet talking lure to lure all voters to vote for Morrison. I could see this coming. I didn’t vote for Scott Morrison. Murdoch rigged the Liberals to win.

CroweDM Idiotic policy. No surprise

CroweDM Is that cos it's good for the individual or good for the banks?

CroweDM Ridiculous idea

CroweDM The grooming continues, this time from reliable LNP lickspittle, Crowe, at Costello’s TheAge. DumpTheAge

CroweDM So leaky boat filling with water...what does Josh do🤔Fix it? Nah gets a bigger bucket...

CroweDM Get more affordable housing built. Get the homeless off the streets and bring the cost of housing down by over supply.

CroweDM Next your going to have to sell your home for the aged pension because there will be no super!!!!!

CroweDM The Morrison Government ministers make announcements with no delivery Journalists need to hold the government accountable for all the false promises

CroweDM This is only going to inflate house prices at the cost of people's retirement imo

CroweDM Pumping super into the housing market is a bloody stupid idea, this won’t increase access just house prices - see this for what it is; an attack on workers unions AND we need to fight back ausunuons

CroweDM Business received tax cuts and other assistance but their prosperity did not flow on to workers (nil wage growth and under employment) so government need focus their programs directly on working people ?

CroweDM This will make house prices skyrocket and decimate super. auspol
