Mr Merlino said he was “beyond disappointed” the federal government had failed to support Victorian businesses and individual workers during this time with income support.Loading “They’re not a silent partner, they like making speeches. I’ll tell you what they’re not. They’re not a tangible partner, they need to step up to the plate,” Mr Pallas said.

“I am angry and I’m disappointed. I’m disappointed because all the language talks about a partnership. It delivers nothing in real terms for the people who need it most. They like to pride themselves on being the party of the forgotten people. Well, the people they seem to have forgotten is Victorians, and in particular Victorian workers.”

Lucky business, always looked after by state and federal govts. By the time it comes to people Nothing is left for us.

The Vic ALP should hang their heads in shame. No other state has Locked up their citizens like you have, due to incompetence for the best part of a year. How anyone could vote you people back in is beyond belief.

timpallas you were the one less than 2 weeks ago to slug these same businesses with higher payroll and land taxes. It is you who said it was time for Victorians to pay back the support they received last year, largely to repay the cost blowouts you have stuffed up. What a joke.

Australian taxpayers should not have to prop up the incompetent Andrews government. Victoria is a failure at almost every facet of quarantine and contact tracing. Victorian workers are suffering from the 4th failing lockdown that would have been handled competently elsewhere.

Hypocritical, given this Govt is increasing land tax which landlords will pass on to merchants that are forced to sutdown again. Criminals sponsoring unions and other ‘friends’.

And you wonder why Dan Andrew’s is so quite - back injury or not the Victorian government needs to take responsibility and stop looking to pass the blame. Shame shame shame!

AT THE END, SMALL BUSINESSES WILL BE PAYING MORE TAX TO COUGH THIS FUCKING SHIT UP.

Member for Kooyong. Great work.

How about this shit DanielAndrewsMP government start taking responsibility for their own deficiencies in HQ last year and contact tracing this year. 14 months into the pandemic and every other state has managed it far better than in Victoria.

Much like Costello’s TheAge’s undermining of public health response to Covid. Case in point, Costello’s TheAge’s very own editor, Gay LNPcorn shaming & punching down on an infected quarantine worker.

The solution for everything here

Maybe the absence of someone paying to support their lockdown will focus their minds on alternatives

Simple. Stop lockdowns and no money problem

JoshieFromAccounts said no

The Australian tax payers has given Victoria 49 billion Dollars in tax payers funds towards Job keeper and Civid Support via the Federal govt. The next state closest has received just 19 Billion so they have been given more than twice the amount of any state in Australia.

Dan and Co.... Don’t lock down a whole state with the harshest restrictions on the planet for a total of less than 50 cases, and then expect the Feds to bail you out and give you the opportunity to extend lockdowns further than necessary. Checkmate.

The Victorian ALP will run out if other people’s money to spend shortly

And if this goes week 2, 3, 4... let’s hope not 🤞

You slam the Feds for days as part of an orchestrated AustralianLabor deflection, then demand money? You don't keep handing beers to an alcoholic - maybe stop blowing billions on poorly managed projects timpallas . COVID19Vic springst

...for the continued fuck ups by the largest public service army in the country. There headline fixed.
