Victoria Tourism Council CEO Felicia Mariani says the support packages announced by the state government are “great but tourism operators “just want to get back to business”.

The $32 million support package includes $16 million to provide a further round of 80,000 regional tourism vouchers, as well as $4.4 million of support for Alpine tourism.

“It was a good boost because obviously operators are on their knees here in Victoria - it’s been a very, very tough time,” she said. “But look, at the end of the day what we really want is to get open. “The support packages are great, but operators just want to get back to business again and the sooner the better”.
