Early Wednesday, investors are awaiting a monthly report on U.S. private-sector employment that could set the stage for the more closely followed Labor Department report on Friday. Employment has become a major focus for markets as investors try to determine on how improvements in the labor market could influence the Federal Reserve’s policy plans.
