Gatwick says travel bookings in France and Germany are over half of pre-pandemic levels but just 16% in the UK, as European stock markets gear up for week of gains

European stock markets have opened flat to slightly higher, as expected. UK’s FTSE 100 index up 22 points, or 0.3%, at 7,216 Germany’s Dax up 0.1% France’s CAC up 0.1% Italy’s FTSE MiB up 0.1% Spain’s Ibex flat.
