After a recent performance of Aremu, which attracted Chief Olusegun Obasanjo (GCFR), the Duke of Shomolu Productions, in partnership with the Odu’a Investment Company Limited

, has concluded plans to stage another equally exciting play, Awo, which depicts the life and times of the sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, at the Glover Memorial Hall, Lagos, today.

Deliberately casting young acts, who did not see the real life Awo, but are ready to show the passion, determination and patriotism will not be lost on the audience.The play is written and directed by Makinde Adeniran , incidentally, the chairman Lagos State chapter of the National Association of Nigerian Theatre Art Practitioners .
